Designed by Kelly Faetanini, formerly of Jewel by Priscilla of Boston, Offering Brides Stunning Customizable Gowns

New York, NY  – March 5, 2012 – Renowned bridal designer Kelly Faetanini will launch an eponymous bridal collection during New York International Bridal Week, April 14 to 16, 2012.  The collection will offer an elegant, fresh approach on timeless styles and present brides with customization options on a variety of gown styles.

The Kelly Faetanini aesthetic is romantic and classic with a youthful, modern twist.  The initial collection will feature twelve to fourteen gown styles in lightweight fabrics including soft satins, organza, tulle and lace.  Ball gowns, A-line, fit-and-flare and mermaid skirts will all be represented as well as various neckline shapes.  Intricate details such as crystal flowers, satin ribbons, pearls, tulle rosettes and fabric manipulation also play a role in the gorgeous gowns.

The Kelly Faetanini brand will have a strong focus on customization selections.  Each bride will be able to work with their bridal salon to create her dream gown.  Skirt lengths can be shifted, beading can be added or removed and other unique treatments will be offered.  Illusion necklines and one-shoulder sashes can be detached after the ceremony for a strapless gown while waistband and floral appliqués can be supplemented or modified.

“My goal is to give the bride exactly what she is dreaming of for her wedding day.  I want her to truly make the gown her own,” stated designer Kelly Faetanini.  “Whether that be a gown she can wear two different ways throughout her special day or one style with an added sash and jeweled appliqués, ultimately, I want each bride to feel beautiful and unique on her wedding day. Brides deserve the luxury experience to customize their own gown and this is what I am striving to do with my new collection,” she continued.

A bride herself, designer Kelly Faetanini, is planning her May 2012 wedding at the same time as launching her collection.  Drawing from her own experience, the collection is in tune with what a modern bride seeks in a gown and experience.

“My wedding has inspired me to not only design exquisite dresses but to create an experience that fully relates to today’s bride, giving her choices and making her wedding gown uniquely hers without stress or hassle,” adds Kelly.

The inspiration for the Fall 2012 collection is the “Antique Jewelry Box.”  Each gown was lovingly designed with a modern approach to vintage details.  Youthful sentiments were added to give the dresses a contemporary yet timeless twist.

Prior to launching her own collection, Kelly was the designer for the Jewel by Priscilla of Boston collection, Priscilla of Boston’s successful line of stylish and feminine gowns at an accessible price point.

Kelly Faetanini will also feature gowns at accessible designer price points, with the initial collection ranging from $1,500 to $4,000 retail.  After meeting with many brides, the designer discovered the need to meet a bride’s desire for a gorgeous, custom gown that stays within her wedding budget.  Having witnessed brides struggle with the restrictions of standard wedding gowns, Kelly believes it is especially important for women to have choices in the design of their wedding gown for this important day in their lives.

Kelly Faetanini will introduce a new collection seasonally and plans to present bridesmaids dresses in upcoming collections as well.

The inaugural Kelly Faetanini collection will be shown at Pier 92, Booth 210, in New York, NY during New York International Bridal Week from April 14 through April 16. The collection will retail for $1,500 to $4,000 and will be available in select fine bridal boutiques throughout the United States and Canada.  For a sales appointment please contact  Press appointments please contact
