After a successful event for the United Way Samantha Goldberg publicly thanked her supporters and made clear her mission to help the wedding industry and vendors is just beginning. On her Facebook wall she shouted out special thanks to some behind-the-scene helpers saying;
*”Thank You to everyone for United Ways success..Two special and wonderful people even moreso….UltimateAffair Party Planner and Sandra Aaron for behind the scenes which is needed and appreciated esp by me xoxox,” said Goldberg.
After the table settings, chandeliers, swaggy baggies and pleasant thanks, Wedding Wire has their hands full.
Sources that attended the event told eWedNewz Samantha was fabulous and on point. “Guests were all very happy; great swag was given tot them as well. All expectations were above and beyond, it was a great fundraiser to help the children.”
But the pleasantries could soon be ending with some other posts added by Goldberg. Rallying friends– and foes– in New Jersey Goldberg reiterated the difficulties facing the average wedding business.
In a protracted statement by Goldberg on her Facebook wall left in tact, she says the following”
“You were all right! Karna is TRUE… so so true… As you know I have had several issues with Wedding Wire. There are over 300 vendors that have some legit issues. It is also starting things from a brides point of view too. I assure all of you, if you read this, you won’t be looking at me as a bad person, you will look and wish you trusted me with mt soapbox rants. If you want to end any site that is not ethical, we have to change this issue ourselves; iIt’s not going to stop.
There are sites all over the US which ave the same feed back. I have copied them all. I wrote a rebuttal to Wedding Wire. I had over 90 pages and over 900 emails to this client who wrote things. She tried Angies list, the BBB and all of them after seeing the email trail told her no. It wasn’t valid. They did not feel her complaints were true.
I am not a paid customer but get all services like one who does pay. I was turned away from Wedding Wire even with proof. Read this, share your thoughts and know this thread alone has over 4 others that are from new vendors to this “complaint” grouping;

PLEASE don’t be a victim or follow what you heard about my issue. They are in places which are not pretty. And now with help I can finally move forward. I have one more issue I need to rid out of my system. Sadly some on this board are a part of that mess. I have 86% of the proof I need and some who do not work with me based in my choice. I need all event vendors behind me on this; you all know this is WRONG. Let’s get rid of the poison.
We all have those issues. I have done my homework and what you’re going to lean this year is that what you’ve heard is false in every sense. In going to fight this one BIG time.Vendors I have your back, you just don’t know me or know I care. I cannot sit and read more complaints about being screwed. Please stand next to me, not behind me. We will work this out and make changes fast.
I have a call scheduled next week as a conference call. Those who have legal counsel in some capacity. The call looks like (it will take place) either Wednesday or Thursday at 5PM EST. DONT BE A VICTIM; Let’s stop it now– RIGHT NOW”.
Goldberg’s conflict with Wedding Wire gained national attention in 2011 opening several fronts and splintering the already fragmented wedding business further. Other opinionated sources denounced Goldberg’s rants and caused an even bigger stir calling her verbose tongue lashings a pogrom.
eWedNewz will continue to watch this story develop, as Wedding Wire and other websites attempt to make the necessary changes and find a balance between consumers and vendors in the wedding business.
