eWedNewz has learned Jasmine Bridal plans to open a retail store in Lombard, Illinois, with the possibility of more in the future, after the lead set by Alfred Angelo.

In a release obtained by eWedNewz the company cites the changing wedding business and the need to evolve along with the process.

JASMINE Enterprises Announces Opening of Special Occasion Galleria
As a brand, JASMINE has always believed in more than just selling our products. Throughout the past 26 years, JASMINE has had a history of supporting our authorized retailers by offering unique & competitive services, partnering with stores for promotions, branding, maintaining M.S.R.P., policing internet selling, and lending support to the Bridal Industry as a whole. Now, as the Bridal Industry becomes more competitive, JASMINE has taken on the responsibility of developing a new business strategy that will lead the changing industry into the future. To ensure the longevity of our retailers, JASMINE will now begin to experience our consumers’ needs firsthand. We have built a model that will allow us to interact with consumers directly, gaining their feedback on products and services.
In Spring 2012, JASMINE will open a Special Occasions Galleria. Our Galleria is designed to increase brand exposure, product quality, and product value. This concept store will create a high end image and a need for the JASMINE product, therefore generating more business for our authorized retailers. As we work directly with consumers, the value of your JASMINE investment will increase. JASMINE will gain direct feedback on products, services, fit, color, and styles. We will analyze this important information and apply it to our product development, including designs and policies, which will lift our image and products to an even higher level.
The 25,000 square foot Galleria will focus on 3 major fashion departments-Bridal, Special Occasions, and Young Occasions. We will outfit consumers from head to toe, and learn important information along the way. In this new venture, we will ensure that our success will become your success through the implementation of new product features, promotions, and services.
This new business strategy is JASMINE’S answer to the evolving industry. The Galleria is a promise that we will all prosper in this changing economy against adversaries. We at JASMINE promise to continue serving you to the best of our ability.
So far, industry sources are split between those that favor a manufacturer opening retail stores and manufacturers that feel there is a disservice done to their accounts.
